Biography of Kevin D. Taguchi
Born in Los Angeles, California, I attended undergraduate school at U.C.L.A. graduating with a B.A. degree in Economics with honors. While at U.C.L.A. I was on the Varsity Men's Vollyball team and also lettered in Rowing. After U.C.L.A., I attended Pepperdine University in Malibu receiving my J.D. degree. While attending Law School, I did an internship at the U.S. Attorney's Office in San Francisco where I tried my first Jury trial. When Law School was over, I passed the California Bar Exam in 1979 on the first try. I uprooted my home and moved to the beautiful Bay Area to begin my career in the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. I was a Deputy District Attorney for a little less than 4 years working in the cities of Oakland, Hayward, Fremont and Berkeley. I also worked in the Juvenile division in Oakland and San Leandro. As a District Attorney, I had over 20 cases go to Jury Verdict and scores of other Court trials. I started my private practice in 1990 specializing in criminal defense. I started taking personal injury cases from my clients' referrals and realized with my background in proving cases in court that I can be a benefit to my clients who were injured by the negligence of others. I have been doing mostly personal injury since.
