Labor of Love

Liverpool LiL's was started in 1973 by a man named Ralph. Prior to opening LiL's he would travel to Liverpool to visit friends and soak up the pub life. In his travels he fell for a bar maid in one of Liverpool's favorite pubs. Over time they developed a relationship and Ralph very much wanted Lillian to join him in the states where they could have a wonderful life and family. Terrified of leaving her own family and friends as well as the pub life she had known since she was a little girl she declined the invitation. So Ralph did his best to recreate the pub she had come to love, only in San Francisco. He built Liverpool LiL's for her. A true labor of love. To this day we are still waiting for her to arrive and see what she has inspired in Liverpool LiL's.
